“ I told them this was a different team than I’ve seen in the last year and change,” Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis said. “That team today expected to win. They didn’t come here today hoping to win, they expected to win but they didn’t. Give credit to North Carolina. But that team in the locker room today, for the first time in a long time when I looked in their faces, it’s a team that really feels bad. And the reason they really feel bad is because they’re starting to get it. This is not the same team everyone saw at the beginning of the year. This team is starting to get it.
